Blepharoplasty in Brussels — eyelid surgery
A rested look, at any age
Over time, the eyelid skin loosens and the eyes can look tired, even sad. Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) reopens the eyes by removing excess skin and under-eye bags, for a natural result — in both women and men.
Upper or lower eyelids?
Upper blepharoplasty removes the excess skin that weighs the eyes down and can hide the natural crease of the lid. Lower blepharoplasty corrects under-eye bags and hollow shadows. The two procedures can be performed together or separately, depending on your anatomy and your goals.
Recovery, day by day
In the first days, mild swelling and bruising are normal. Sutures are removed around day five. Bruising fades within about ten days, after which most patients resume normal social life. The final result becomes apparent after a few weeks, once the swelling has fully settled.
Price
The cost depends on the procedure performed (upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both) and is given in a personalised quote during the consultation.
Aesthetic surgery of the eyelids or blepharoplasty allows for the removal of excess fat and skin from the upper or lower eyelids.
The incision hidden in a natural fold or made at the lash line is practically undetectable. If there is no excess skin to remove, it can even be avoided, with only the fat bags being removed internally.
This procedure is generally performed, for both women and men, starting at the age of forty. Biological examinations, supplemented if necessary by an ophthalmological assessment, are systematically carried out before the procedure.
The operation does not require hospitalization and is most often performed under local anesthesia.
Post-operative follow-up:
The removal of stitches occurs on the fifth day post-operation and bruising disappears within about 10 days.
Results:
The elimination of bags under the eyes and the tightening of the skin allow for a more rested, more alert appearance. This procedure rejuvenates the entire face.
