Lipofilling
The principle of lipofilling consists of using the patient's own fat as a corrective implant for aesthetic purposes (autograft). Lipostructure allows for correcting significant volumes without the risk of inflammatory or allergic reactions, and with the certainty that the "natural" product will always be well accepted by the body, which is unfortunately not always the case with synthetic injectable implants.
Lipostructure is recommended for treating grooves, hollows, and volumes to restore, but it does not correct superficial fine lines, for which other techniques are preferred. It allows for restoring volume to the cheekbones, treating marionette lines, and restoring the oval of the face. It is used to fill hollow cheeks or temples, treat nasolabial folds, and brow arches. It can correct the sequelae of liposuction in hollows and even perform small breast augmentations.
The harvesting takes place under local anesthesia from the "donor" area (abdomen, hips, buttocks...), where the fat is harvested using a fine cannula. However, this must be done in an area independent of weight variations. The fat is then carefully centrifuged and purified of its unnecessary components before being uniformly reinjected into a stable receiving area.
Post-operative care:
Lipofilling is performed on an outpatient basis and therefore does not require any hospital stay. It is even possible to continue normal activities after the treatment.
The results:
The quality of the results and their longevity over time depend directly on the practitioner and the method of preparing the implant. The correction made will, however, decrease by 30 to 60% in the months that follow. Injections can be repeated and their effects combined to achieve the desired optimal result.
